Sioux City Animal Control will willingly list your lost pet for a few weeks, free of any charges. If you have lost your pet, don't forget to also check our available animals or call our office as it is possible we picked your animal up.
If you would like a listing, feel free to e-mail us (chris@siouxcityanimalcontrol.com). Please provide as much information as you can. A photo is also extrememly helpful in aiding anyone to identify your pet.
We are hoping that this page will help reunite you with your beloved pet. Having a collar with tags (rabies, city license, and/or one with your phone number) would assist us immensly with this task. The first two tags are also required by law.

Lost Sheltie/Jack Russell Terrier Mix - 25th and Court area
Our small dog Beau got loose and has yet to be found. He is a short Sheltie/Jack Russell Terrier mix. I don't have any pictures of him. He was lost around 25th and Court. Please notify me if you find him. Thank You.

A neutered, black lab was found on our farm east of Hinton. He has a collar with a Michigan tag. He is fairly old and looks like he has been lost for a good length of time. If this is your dog please contact:

Found - Shepherd/Lab mix, Broadway Street, Council Bluffs area
On Friday night, September 19, 2008, an old black shepherd/lab mix was found in Council Bluffs crossing a busy street (Broadway St), and nearly got run over by cars. He then went inside a car wash. He was rescued by a citizen of Sioux City, Iowa.
Council Bluffs Animal Control were not available to help. He appears to be deaf, and doesn't see very well. He had a rabies vet tag but it was expired (2004) and the vet said that the owners no longer have this same phone number. The vet refused to give the rescuer the last name of owner but said the dog belonged to Larry. If you are Larry, or the subsequent owner, please contact:

 | Found - Yellow Labrador, Butcher RD/K18 Area This dog is a neutered yellow lab. From his playful attitude, we are guessing him to be about 2 or 3. He did have a gray mark around his neck, we're guessing either a chain or collar mark. He was in good health (not thin). I'm assuming maybe a hunter's dog? It would be great to find his owner.  | Lost Ferret - 1000 block of S. Glass St. I lost my pet ferret. Her name is Siucra (Secra) and she is a sable with a dark brown mask. She has 2 tattoos on her right ear. She was in an outside cage when she dug out with another of my ferrets. Her companion was found, Siucra is still missing. She went missing on the 1000 block of S.
